Big Three To Go Through Keeper Shake Up?

Could Itumeleng Khune And Wayne Sandilands Be Moving Clubs?

With Wayne Sandilands’ future at Mamelodi Sundowns looking bleak, could he be involved in a goalkeeper shake up that will involve all of South Africa’s ‘Big Three’ clubs?

As reported in this week’s issue of Soccer Laduma, there could be a situation come the end of the season where we see Sandilands donning Orlando Pirates colours, Mamelodi Sundowns making a move for Itumeleng Khune and Kaizer Chiefs making either Brilliant Khuzwayo or Reyaad Pieterse their first choice ‘keeper.

While nothing has been confirmed as of yet, the Siya crew have been reliably informed that the Buccaneers are keeping tabs on Sandilands’ situation at Chloorkop, while Sundowns are prepared to break the back in order to persuade Khune to make the move to Tshwane.

While it is thought that the Chiefs skipper would prefer to stay at Naturena if he is to remain in South Africa, that may not stop Masandawana from throwing big money at him in an attempt to twist his arm.

Pirates are believed to be giving Brighton Mhlongo a period to prove himself as a worthy successor to the sadly departed Senzo Meyiwa, however will look to the transfer market in January should they feel the need to do so.
